POV Tesla hard wired is rated for 48 amps of continuous load, therefore you have to size it at 125% which would be 60amps continuous load. 6/2 nmb is setting your customer up for failure. No max performance

My local inspector wants us running copper 6/2 SEU or MC for a car charger because you need to multiply your 48a EV at 125%. 6/2 NM isn’t rated for 60a.

What was the point of the offset above the charger? Just curious as to why the offset was needed

Why not run 4AWG so if they upgrade their charger to the level 2, they’re set

Should have ran 6/2 MC cable all the way from panel to charger. Cheaper faster better amperage up to 60 amps.

That charger pulls 48 amps. Unless you had the client set the amperage of the charger lower I don’t think 6 awg nmb is rated for the 48 amp continuous load

I ran my own and all the conduit is hidden , no ceiling conduit showing , electricians take the easy way out and install 100ft of conduit all over the ceiling

I was going to say something about overcharging until I saw how long that basement was. bro could have definitely replaced that piece of conduit though and not had that offset after that 90 that just makes it ugly in the customer's garage my man

As an ‘electrician’ with 5 years experience - does that mean you been licensed for 5 years OR that you are a 5th year apprentice ?
