Did none of you actually pay attention to this movie? she was only half because she had just been turned. michael was supposed to be her 1st kill. but the group got orders from max to change him and sam. (this wasnt shown, but revealed at the end). she told him it was david's blood even though though it was Max's, but he didn't believe her after the other mind tricks they played with the food.

She was a runaway and they used her so she can lure in new men to turn into vampires cause she was attractive. The way she lured in Michael. She wasn’t meant to fall for him though. She was the protector for laddie since he was so little and most likely uncontrollable being a kid. She refused or resisted to make her first kill so she stayed a half vampire.

Okok she couldn’t leave because of laddie. Laddie was the most dangerous one if he got turned fully due to him being a kid in most vampire Lore , it is taboo to turn a child into a vampire because they can’t control their blood lust . So star needed help to save laddie but couldn’t leave him alone but how she acted makes me want to know what she actually knew

if it isn't mentioned, there is an official comic book sequel to the lost boys. it would've dealt with ,i believe, STAR'S friends who are vampires and TIM CAPELLO (THE SAXOPHONE GUY IN THE MOVIE) was a vampire hunter and was going to team up with Michael & everyone else

I think she was trapped the vampires wanted her for some reason. It wasn't to be with her romantically. She couldn't escape cause she was protecting Laddie. She needed help and that is where Michael comes in. What I always thought was strange is that Star never knew who the real head vampire was till the end of the movie.

I think they used her to lure in kills. May be what she knows. All the people they have killed? Michael was supposed to be for her but like said in previous comments Max told them not to cause he wanted the mother. And for them to be a family.
