I worked in the ER for 1.5 years and it drained me, switched to outpatient dermatology (private practice and my boss made it MISERABLE)… really thought nursing was over for me. Then I moved from NY to PA, got a job working at a retirement community (#2 in the country, not giving nursing home vibes) and feel like a new person. It does get better… nursing has so many different paths, keep trying and hang in until you find where you belong!! 🥰

Same, loved my coworkers but were always anxious. Made the switch and I just started my outpatient job on Monday in a neuroscience speciality!

Left the ER this year after 3.5 years and a piece of my heart feels like it is missing, but for my mental health and overall self, is so much happier. Sucks to miss it so much. Good luck w everything!
