Most gacha games don’t NEED to cater to the western market but they NEED to take from western cultures. Most would survive without the western audience cause the east is still their main and majority source of income but they wouldn’t even be popular in the first place if they didn’t have western culture cause western culture is extremely popular in the east ESPECIALLY blonde hair and blue eyes. It’s genuinely frustrating cause they will take from black culture but refuse to add any black person.

Also there are tons of people in China who aren’t racist and are against the racism that’s being pushed in their country, making racism seem like an inherent ‘quirk’ to Chinese people rather than partaking in a system of oppression both normalized the heck out of it and seems kind of racist against Chinese people to begin with. I do think that most gacha game catered to white people or at least racist people which are usually white and Asian people since they know that most of them are chronicly online and are will spend money for they white fantasy.
