@meandcharlee_talkin: The perfect slow Saturday morning #scones #breakfastideas #EasyRecipe Vanilla Cream Cheese Scones Ingredients 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup white granulated sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 4 tablespoons salted butter, shredded and frozen 4 oz full-fat cream cheese, frozen and shredded 1 1/4 cups cold heavy cream 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract Heavy cream for brushing on scones Vanilla Glaze 1 cup powdered sugar 5-6 tablespoons heavy cream or milk 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract Directions In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the shredded butter and cream cheese, tossing to coat in the dry ingredients. Set aside. In a separate bowl, mix together heavy cream and vanilla. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until a shaggy dough forms. Turn dough out onto a clean surface and press into a 12” circle. Cut into 8 equal triangles, just like you would a pie. Place scones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the freezer while you preheat your oven to 400°F. Once oven is fully preheated, remove scones from freezer and brush the tops with heavy cream. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until golden brown. While scones cool, whisk together powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla until smooth. Add more cream as needed to reach your desired consistency. Once scones have cooled, dip the tops into the vanilla glaze and allow to set before serving.

Just this morning I made the exact scone, minus the cream cheese. They were great but I am definitely going to try it with the cream cheese. The texture looked beautiful

Would half and half work instead of heavy cream?
