@northern_forge: The sword in the stone? In many versions, it's not Excalibur 🗡️ Excalibur: Arthur pulls one sword from the stone, then gets Excalibur later from the Lady of the Lake. Bonus: a real medieval sword sits in rock at the Montesiepi chapel in Tuscany. Kusanagi: legend says the storm god Susanoo got an eight-headed serpent drunk and found this sword in its tail. It's said to rest at Atsuta Shrine and is never shown. Even at enthronements, the box stays shut. Durendal: Roland's sword supposedly flew all the way to a cliff at Rocamadour, France. A sword really hangs there. Someone stole it in 2024, so a new replica went up in 2025. Gan Jiang & Mo Ye: the metal wouldn't melt until Mo Ye threw her own hair and fingernails into the furnace. Now that's commitment. Which legend would you road-trip to? 👇 Visuals: AI-generated images, not real photos or artifacts. #mythology #legendaryswords #excalibur #folklore #History
