Naniwaya Sohonten, on the Azabu-Juban shopping street in Tokyo, says it was founded in 1909 and has kept to its traditional way of making taiyaki ever since. The shop is named after Naniwa, the old name for Osaka, where its founder came from. It says it cooks its azuki beans for eight hours, one pot a day.
