PATRICK MCDONALD FROM CRUMLIN SENTENCED AT CRAIGAVON MAGISTRATES COURT In 2021, Patrick McDonald, a then 26-year-old former Royal Marine from Crumlin, was jailed in Northern Ireland after being convicted of voyeurism offences. Patrick McDonald, of Ardmore Road, Crumlin, County Antrim, was sentenced at Craigavon Magistrates' Court to six months in prison after being convicted of two separate voyeurism incidents. The court heard that in November 2020, while working at a Tesco Extra store in County Armagh, McDonald was caught looking over a toilet cubicle divider to film a colleague. Months earlier, in July 2020, McDonald engaged in similar behaviour at a David Lloyd gym changing room in Dundonald, peering over cubicle walls at gym members. McDonald was on licence at the time of the offences, having previously been sentenced to four and a half years in prison at Reading Crown Court in January 2018 following a National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation. That prior case revealed he had used fictitious online profiles to target thousands of teenage boys for explicit images. Following his arrest for the supermarket and gym incidents, his release licence was revoked. District Judge Bernie Kelly handed down the six-month custodial sentence, noting the breach of privacy involved in his actions. In addition to his custodial sentence, McDonald was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for seven years. He also remains subject to ongoing public protection measures, including an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) established during his previous conviction to monitor his behaviour and manage public safety risks. #PatrickMcDonald #Crumlin #Craigavon #Antrim #ukregisterdatabase
