the game is canon, its just very likely that the V ending that's canon is one where they dont become a legend and he goes out quietly from night city or their own body. So the star or the solo rushing temperance ending seem very likely. * Its very likely then that the soulkiller project became botched and that Saburo Arasaka died or is about to die because and this was his last ditch effort to live. So the company may be going under after V fucked soooo much of their efforts, and since people like Hellman and others where defecting to Kang Tao with the tech or the lore, Its likely that V became a bit of a legend in the "its possible the soulkiller work" corporate circles. * But since this was their ultimate top secret tech they were developing, I imagine they wouldn't let the world know that there was a guy running arround with the personality construct of a 2020's terrorist/anarchist, and that that said guy ran into arasaka and destroyed their most important project to keep its ceo alive and that said guy invited a rougue ai personality construct of another legendary character from the 2020's a super hacker into their ai jail mikoshi to fuse with the other ais and become super powerful. Even if that info leaks, for it to become public would make Arasaka look very bad (even after they sort of recovered their image after the 4th corporate war), and maybe even accelerate a 5th corporate war, where the other corpos ravage arasaka for tech and influence.

Well considering Maelstrom is a pretty large gang that you deal with throughout the whole game in side gigs and never actually shut down, I’d say the game is still canon. Like do y’all actually play the game?

My biggest question is before any flash forwards David says snake nation got wiped out two years ago which means that it was destroyed before nomad V’s clan got absorbed into it also it messes with the timeline kinda
