Recently had a temp agency recruiter for a soybean plant role. Recruiter interviews went super well but I didn't land the in person interview at the soybean plant role. Sometimes you can have the best recruiter & the hiring manager will still slam the door shut in the RECRUITER'S face. I felt super bad for the recruiter because she really wanted me to land that interview

Or the hiring managers boss! When I was a hiring manager I was pretty decisive and fair. I certainly didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. It was MY boss in leadership who played all the games. Ultimately he wanted all young finance bros.

I'm still waiting on 4 companies to tell me if I'm getting 2nd rounds or not and 1 company I did 2 rounds with and both times told they wanted to "quickly hire" and that was in August and crickets. Beyond ridiculous.
