@realgoodnewsxp: We all know someone who changes the details every time they retell a story to make themselves look better. That’s exactly what Paul does with his Damascus Road conversion according to the anonymous author of Acts (there is very little evidence supporting Luke wrote it). Three versions. Contradicting details. Each one making Paul look more chosen and more important than the last. But I was told the Bible never contradicts itself. Funny how that works. The clearest example is 2 Peter 3:15–16. The letter refers to “our beloved brother Paul,” says he wrote with wisdom given to him, and warns that people distort his letters, which contain some things that are difficult to understand. In that passage, the author directly connects his own teaching about God’s patience and salvation with Paul’s teaching.

Has Christianity ever had one Bible?
Not in the sense of a single, universally agreed collection of books and interpretation across all Christian traditions. The biblical canon developed over centuries, and disagreements remain.

Ouch. Teaching on the Bible without going to the original language causes misunderstandings. English translations can be flat and leave these kind of erroneous critiques. I’ll show you one - your point on who heard what. "Does Acts contradicts itself"? Only in English. Let’s look at the lexical and grammatical elements.
Acts 9:7 says Paul's companions heard the voice. Acts 22:9 says they didn't. Critics call this an error. Here's what the English hides.
The Greek verb akouō means both "hear" and "understand." We use English the same way: "I heard you, but I didn't hear you." The noun phōnē means both "sound" and "voice."
So the men heard a sound, but they didn't understand the words. Acts 22 makes this explicit. They didn't hear "the voice of the one speaking to me." The message was for Paul alone.
The same pattern shows up with sight. They saw the light (22:9) but saw no one (9:7). They perceived something, not someone.
This isn't unusual in Scripture. In John 12:28–29, God speaks from heaven. Some in the crowd said it thundered; others said an angel spoke. One voice, received differently.
And remember, Luke wrote both accounts in the same book. He wasn't confused. A flat translation just can't carry what the Greek does.

Shame on you! Paul asked nothing of anyone and was the most active apostle. Jesus told him from the beginning of all this and that he would die as a martyr. But Paul did not hesitate and died happily for the One whom he denied in his youth. You're a keyboard hero, Paul was a martyr hero to Christ. Are you a muslim? Not even Jehovah's Witnesses deny Paul.
