I definitely don’t think it was romantic, but it wasn’t just obsessing (although he was pretty obsessive) and it didn’t mean nothing to Capri. At the very end it seemed more like, to me, both D and Capri learning how to live their own lives. Like Omi said, D should have lived the life he wanted rather than blindly seeking revenge. Capri’s only other moment of true autonomy was seeking the revenge Talia requested. The end was their opportunity to “do anything.”
