my dad (43) is a very hardworking man, he is an amazing father, son, and husband. ever since we got here in jan of 2019, my dad has done nothing but work his butt off to give us the best he can. he was taken away unjustly. he is not a criminal nor is he the kind of person to break a law. he has a worker’s permit, driver’s license, and social security number. he is a painter that usually works on his own along with my older brother who’s 17. my dad and brother were otw to work when they got pulled over by ICE and then they took my dad and let my brother go. he’s fighting for a case and lawyers charged 12k to represent him and got him approved for a bond which is awesome news, the only issue is that the bond is $45k. that is an insane amount of money and there’s no way on earth we could ever get that much money on our own. i have a job, very low paying, but it’s enough to help with groceries and other expenses. my brother is currently looking for a job because since he worked with my dad, he has nowhere to go. my dad is also who pays most of my grandparents’ expenses back in honduras, and my grandma has recently been ill and he was the one paying for her treatment and now doesn’t have much help. he also paid most of the bills here with us so its been pretty tough with my mom’s and I’s low incomes combined. we really miss our dad and my mom really misses her husband. me (15), my mom, my brothers (11 and 17), still have hopes to see him walk through our front door once again. any help would be very appreciated❤️ https://gofund.me/dc64ec641 #fyp #immigrantparents
