@cocoo_app: I’m going to tell you something that would've saved me weeks of crying (mine and hers). Before i started sleep training, i spent days researching methods. ferber vs cry it out vs the chair thing. i read everything. picked one. was consistent. night 1: an hour of crying. night 2: 50 minutes. night 3: still 45. night 4: i quit. I thought she wasn't ready. turns out her bedtime was just too late. here's what i didn't know: every sleep consultant fixes the schedule FIRST. like, before they even talk about methods. Cause if your baby is overtired at bedtime, their body is too wired to learn to self-settle. and if bedtime is too early? they're not tired enough. they cry because they literally don’t need to asleep yet. how to check before you start: → is she taking more than 20 min to fall asleep most nights? bedtime might be too early. → is she a mess by 6pm — rubbing eyes, melting down? bedtime might be too late. → is she waking 30-45 min after falling asleep? (false start = usually undertired at bedtime) → is she waking every 2 hours all night? often overtired. Fix the schedule for 3-5 days. THEN start training. the difference is wild. save this. comment BEDTIME + baby's age and we’ll send a 14-day free trial of cocoo — it figures out the right bedtime before you start anything. link in bio. #sleeptraining #babybedtime #babysleep #ferbermethod #sleeptrainingtips
