@apostatology: There's even more verses in their scripture that highlight it. Good conversation, but alas, no escape. #freewill #debate #islam #christianity #sikh
cool post (sarcasm) I will do a post on this. all religions contain quotes that look like we have no free will but there is context to it. even the bible and quran has it. I will give you my thoughts and tag you .

KRSBOXING :
This arguement is like saying Al-Qadr (predestination) means that humans do not have free will. When Muslims do believe in free will.
The Ang is speaking about Gods Hukam, this is the only part of the interpretation which is correct. Guru Nanak Dev Ji is stating that God is all-powerful & humans may act in "ego" but will not be liberated becuase they have acted in their own self-interest...
Guru Nanak Dev Ji speaking about how by Gods Command he can transform someone. If someone can recognise what God has ordained for them in their life, they will be living within Gods Hukam.
Obviously those who act against, or push back against Gods will are failing the intial test... Therefore they have misused there free will, hence will follow the cycle of reincarnation to eventually reach liberation. In Sikhi there isnt a "final" test because lifetimes are a search for meaning rather than a "final" stop.
The clickbait picture refering to Sikhi not having free will doesnt make sense because Hukam is referring to the "Divine Order" of the world, if a human acts against that (which they do), they will then be acting in ego which is against Hukam.
This arguement is like saying did God pre-destined Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of forbidden fruit... And if they had free will (which to my knowledge they did)... Why would God set them up, already knowing what they would do?
Its misrepresentative to take any scripture out of context by picking and choosing random verses without context to formulate an arguement

I wanna dabble my feet into this, I wanna get your understanding of things so if God already knows with absolute certainty every decision you’ll ever make, can you genuinely choose differently from what He knows? If you can’t, in what sense do you have free will? And if you can, wouldn’t that mean God’s knowledge could be wrong?

What’s the issue with rejecting free will in the first place? You guys seem to act like it’s some fact in reality when it’s a heavily debated topic
