The way I would’ve been like oh sorry excuse me and just found somewhere else to sleep. But i was never in my dorm, i was always somewhere else, freshman year i may have slept in my actual dorm bed like maybe 30 times. 🤷♀️idc what or who you do or have in the dorm room, just lmk so i dont come home. No way would i have brought an RA into this. Its not that big of a deal to me tbh

Being asked to sleep elsewhere is not fun, but it’s better than waking up at 3 am to the sounds of your roommate (in the bed 2 feet away from yours) in the middle of a very intimate moment with someone neither or you had met before…hypothetically. lol. That was awkward AF.

USA still so weird with people sharing a single bedroom in dorms. Both me and my brother (different schools) were in like an "apartment" type which was normal, where there's multiple small rooms, and a shared kitchen/bathroom, usually shared between 4-8 people depending on number of rooms

the american dorm/residential living for universities is absolutely wild to me as an aussie. i technically live in student accommodation. it’s associated to a uni just not the one i go to very long and complicated situation but i was granted an exception to live here in essence since im technically a uni student even tho im post grad and at a completely different uni - my campus is satellite and technically doesn’t have a uni exclusive campus and we do all our classes through the local teaching hospital in an area that’s sectioned off for teaching (not just ppl from my uni but ENs and the uni i live at’s health students when they do clinical stuff). that’s a ramble but my current student accom is private rooms (+ensuite but that isn’t super typical for aussie student accom) with shared living space so it’s more apartment style with individual rooms rather than dorm style. my parents who went to uni in the uk also lived in “halls” which is a bit closer to what the usa has but they still had individual rooms but shared bathrooms + common space for the whole floor of their hall (level) of their student accom. i’ve looked at several other student accoms for different uni’s across aus and i’ve honestly not seen a single one that has a set up where u fully share a bedroom with someone else, those are always individual and probs would manage majority of the issues u discuss in ur vids pretty easily if that was how they were set up

I saw something basically similar to this during our freshman day one orientation done as a sketch onstage. The takeaway was “we know you’re going to be going at it like rabbits just don’t disrespect your roommate and for gods sake use condoms!”
