A commercial officer tried to stop the driver after he skipped the scales. Even with lights and sirens activated, the driver did not respond until the officer had followed him for roughly two miles. When officers finally made contact, they found him watching a show on a tablet while operating an 80,000-pound vehicle on the freeway. "This behavior is unacceptable and puts everyone at risk," CHP said. "Distracted driving is preventable, costly, and dangerous. The safest choice is to keep your eyes on the road, your hands on the wheel, and your mind on driving." Yeah I’d be fighting that in court since my tablet is primarily used for my gps just because it’s size. I’d love to know how the officer knew what exactly he was watching. This is why mine is mounted below on the dash.
