@howiethecrab: I am so tired...but my heart is full 🥹 Thank you everyone for coming to my rescue. I want to get this colony spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for worms, fleas, and all the other illnesses that they have. Just last week, no one able to touch this cat. He's an older male. He had been fed before, but has never been loved. He's a father to many of the kittens here. Tomorrow "Papa Cat" gets neutered. The barn was just taken over by a lovely woman in August. She's got her hands full with horses, including helping me take care of Seze (our horse) and repairing the place. It's rough around the edges, but has good bones! The barn came with these cats and the random duck who thinks he's a cat. I don't think anyone knew there were this many. For a month, we saw cats darting around. They were always hiding. We started putting put food and tried to get a head count. I was shocked at how many there were! The majority of the cats were totally feral and it's taken me a month to get where I am with them. I've befriended 8 so far. I still have 10 to go! Once all of these cats are fixed, vaccinated, and healthy again, their chances of adoption are 1000% better.
