I grew up in Ponte Vedra. My dad is Mexican. Born and raised in Mexico city. And he even calls it "pont-uh vee-druh" not "pawn-tay vay-drah". And now I live in Ortega and the literal first DAY I moved in I called it "ore-tay-guh" and a neighbor immediately corrected me that it is "ore-tee-guh" and I have said that one ever since.
