@synthetic.8: Today Anchors Share Their Favorite Moments From A Live Broadcast In Ireland: “Almost Like Summer Camp” The Today show took a big trip. On Friday, Oct. 16, all four hours of the NBC morning show aired live from Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland. The trip was sponsored by Tourism Ireland. Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Dylan Dreyer, Carson Daly, Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones all made the journey. Before the broadcast, Guthrie visited the Cliffs of Moher. Bush Hager and Jones tried falconry. Dreyer, 45, told PEOPLE her favorite moment was learning to herd sheep at Kessane Sheep Farm. She said the shepherd taught them to use a difficult whistle. “I picked it up... And Al and Craig couldn’t do it!” she said with a laugh. Melvin, 47, said his favorite part was having a Guinness at Crowley’s, a pub that he said has been there since the 1800s. Roker, 72, said this was the first time all four hours of the show have traveled together for something other than a special news event. “It’s almost like summer camp,” he said. He said the trip lets the team spend time with their crew, producers and writers. The night before the show, the anchors had dinner together. Jones, 48, said, “Phones are away, we’re in a fun pub.” She said the table ended up full of food. Daly, 53, said, “It definitely feels like home.” Would you want to take a work trip like this? #todayshow #Ireland #Savannah #Home #TV
