What job can pay up to $83/hour, require no university degree and start with just 12 days of training? 👀 I wish more people knew about this side hustle. Last month, I made $2,015 teaching Pilates in 30 hours TOTAL. That’s about 7.5 hours a week and $67/hour across three settings. This wasn’t physiotherapy income. It was strictly Pilates: 26 hours of reformer and 4 hours of mat. I took the STOTT PILATES by Merrithew Intensive Reformer course level 1 . The classroom portion was 12 days and cost me around $3,000. That’s not the same as being fully certified in 12 days! There are observation hours, physical review, practice teaching and exams. STOTT is internationally recognized, which was a huge reason I chose it. I wanted training I could take around the world and use to pursue teaching opportunities in different countries. I’m also a physio and one of my workplaces took my existing education and experience into account when allowing me to teach mat without taking a separate mat course. So I never completed that course but that was specific to my situation. More training is always valuable. You can teach at studios, gyms, clinics, private clubs or 1:1. I love privates because you do more for each client and the earning potential is better; group classes are amazing for networking and building your clientele. And you don’t need a healthcare background. You could be fresh out of high school, in university, working corporate, or a doctor looking for something different. You can make Pilates a part-time side hustle or a whole career. You choose what it looks like. There’s training and practice involved, and you have to care about your clients. But I genuinely love it and I want more people to know it’s a path. Want a PART 2 on exams, finding jobs and how we actually get paid? Tell me! 🥹🤍 #PilatesInstructor #ReformerPilates #sidehustle #PilatesCertification #careerideas
