my biggest issue is that people are using the excuse that it's normal in verse. its true that Cyberpunk is a future without morals but the one line that Mike Pondsmith doesn't cross is normalizing pedophollia. if they actually played the game instead of spending all their time in JigJig street they would know that.

I feel like a lot of people either didn’t play the game / are only familiar with the show and treating it like a standard anime. The point of Cyberpunk is to heavily criticize the capitalist dystopian path we’re on and the hyper sexualization of every day life (example being the ads you see in game) amongst many other topics. It’s uncomfortable to watch but that’s kind of the point. These kids are exclusively exposed to violence and sex from the get go (another in game example being the amount of lone children you see in game wandering the streets) so they’re going to develop differently. The people online being creepy / weird about it though are just being creepy and weird and missing the point in the worst way by being part of the problem that leads to the dystopian that cyberpunk is trying to criticize.
