It sounds like a valid point, but an compiler and integrated development environment don't replace the human aspects of what is being done, the compiler doesn't decide what methods you call, what you refer to as your variables, or what strings you define, the IDE can help find typo errors and broken loops, but you're still responsible for knowing what works and what doesn't, the IDE isn't going to just make code work. AI, however, does replace the human aspect of coding, the AI decides what methods are called, the AI decides what variables are referred to as, the AI decides how to fix broken code, the dangerous thing about that is if you didn't write it, it's going to be difficult to understand the codebase, so if there's a vulnerability or error in the codebase, you're in a much worse position to handle it if it was vibe coded, especially so as the codebase gets larger and larger. Not every project needs a high level of scrutiny, but AI is not even close to being the same kind of tool a compiler or editor, and drawing that comparison is literally just a psyop
