it actually has to do with a intense surman at the church. outside the door that morning was the sun rising and facing east, the hills were red. church was once held early in the morning. not like today. my family founded this town. and still live there.

Could you imagine the religious zealots reacting to a school’s field trip to this location? 😂 I grew up near Purgatory Chasm and don’t remember any kooks having an issue with trips there. But now it is nutty.
