@atlvibesandviews: Atlanta had one Great Tree tradition for 74 years. It started at Rich’s downtown in 1948, moved to Underground Atlanta and later Macy’s at Lenox Square. The final lighting happened in 2022. Now Piedmont Park is building something of its own. On Nov. 22, the park is adding a free lantern parade to its Great Tree, Menorah and Kinara lighting. Lantern-making begins at 3:30 p.m. The parade starts at 5 and ends in the Meadow, followed by a movie and hot cocoa at Park Tavern. Walk-ups are welcome, and the displays remain through Jan. 4.
