I’m guessing the sensors on the Mercedes van don’t work so it could auto break

As a Mercedes Benz employee these cars have to put into display mode by a technician prior to the event and can only be taken out of display mode when back in the shop and connected to a specific machine. This is 100% an error with the car not, the kids should not be found to be at fault for this.

“Who’s going to pay for this?” The parents obviously😭 What kids did is their parents’ responsibility whether it was intentional or not😭 This is why I never want kids, I didn’t even do anything but I’m having to pay for what they did😭

I have attended many car shows. Adults and children always jump in the driver seat and pretend to drive. Who left the key nearby for it to activate?

The ignition was probably a start botton and the key fob was probably in range for the vehicle to start when the botton was pushed. Maybe there should be a second protocol when starting a vehicle to prevent these measures.

I worked a dealership and the rule was always who ever the key is checked out to is responsible 100% which leaves no room for customer fault . This slightly different being a show case but I’d assume for insurance purposes they’d want an associates responsible for a better chance of collecting

I thought the battery was supposed to be disabled if a car was in a building on display. Also, did it hit the wall in the back or just a little fake wall because that’s a lot of damage for something so thin
