@zoe.mintz: Rain, storms, and SNOW will move across California over the next 24-48 hours! Central and southern coastal California will see the heaviest rainfall and even some severe storms - this extends as far north as Monterey. In the Bay Area, most storms will weaken significantly before heading this way. So when can we expect it? There's likely going to be scattered, light showers overnight Wednesday into early Thursday afternoon totaling .1-.25"...near the Santa Cruz Mountains/Monterey Bay it may be closer to .5". Still not a whole lot, but enough to want to keep an umbrella handy Wednesday and Thursday (even though you won't need it much!). In the southern Sierra, above 8,000' there will likely be a few inches of fresh powder by the end of the week! The storm will push east by Friday, leaving us with a lovely and seasonable weekend ahead for California.
