Dental assistant here. Please don’t stick your fingers in there. Your gum tissue will heal on its own but pulling it away will make it worse. It’s where the incision was made to remove the tooth. Take your antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon. ❤️🩹

Got antibiotics for my infected wisdom tooth (lower right) & now i need to schedule to get my wisdom teeth removed… i’m just scared of getting dry socket bc i heard it’s an increased chance if the tooth was infected prior to removal

I had an infected broken molar, the relief I felt when it was out , whewww wish I did it sooner! I got an implant put in and wisdoms removed at the same time too, worth it! I called my dentist, told them I was having severe pain and thought my tooth was infected and they sent in antibiotics which helped a lot
