@downinnadesert: Nearly one year after 16-year-old Tia Colelay went missing in Arizona and was later found deceased, her family is still searching for answers, with no arrests announced in connection with her passing. 💔 Tia, a member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe, was last heard from on October 20, 2025, in Whiteriver, Arizona. After a nearly two-week search, she was found on November 3 near Knots Landing on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, reportedly less than a mile from her home. Her disappearance and passing sparked widespread concern across Arizona, with family members and community advocates calling for answers about what happened to her. According to her family, investigators informed them in March 2026 that three persons of interest had been identified. However, no arrests have been publicly announced. The family says communication with investigators has slowed significantly, with their last reported update coming in August, when they were told the case had been transferred to authorities in Washington, D.C. Nearly a year later, Tia's loved ones say they still don't know exactly what happened to her or when they might finally receive answers. The Bureau of Indian Affairs continues to list the investigation as open and is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the BIA at 1-833-560-2065. Tia was only 16 years old. Her family deserves answers, and her story deserves to be heard. 💔 #Arizona #JusticeForTia #ArizonaNews #Whiteriver #MMIW
