@natalia.galleg0s: Flipping back to a normal sleep schedule after night shift is literally a full-time job on its own 😭 I've learned that if I sleep the entire day away, my next few days off are basically ruined. So I try to wake up by 3, get myself ready even if I'm doing absolutely nothing, have a little caffeine, and eat dinner at a normal time. Does it work every single time? Absolutely not, but we're trying LOL. Night shift nurses, are we flipping back on our days off or just accepting that we live in a different time zone? #newgrad #newgradnurse #nightshift #nightshifternurse
Dude yes I’ve been doing nights for 2 years now and I find it’s best to wake up at 3pm latest (when I sleep till 5 I feel terrible ngl) and get up and moving right away and drink a small coffee.then sleep around 10-11 pm and take a lemme sleep gummy that night!!

I just started nights, I have no issues flipping back. But I have issues staying asleep when I have back to back shifts! So I get max 3 hours. Do you have any tips 😭

This is how I’ve done it for years! Except when I only have a couple days off in between then I keep my night shift schedule instead of flipping. It is easier now that the kids are grown and out of the house though.
