Definitely had less than I expected... I'm in the 7th bracket. I work as a Data Engineer for a UK based software firm. They pay well, and I'm even due for an increase before the year ends. I'll be honest though, the take home isn't as impressive as the gross. SARS takes a pretty massive chunk 😭

To be honest this is scary AF. What you meen only 7mill tax payers? Like aren’t there like 30mill people on grants? This country really needs to open their eyes, at this rate its unsustainable. More jobs= more tax payers= less grants= more money available for infrastructure. But currently we are losing jobs= less taxpayers= more grants

This is skewed towards employees. There are a lot of business owners who pay themselves lower salaries & run expenses on the business, look at the number of Private banking clients the banks have, can’t be less than 3 million people earning more than R750k. There’s also the informal market too in the less than R350k market
