"Do no more and no less than what you feel" In the world of acting, Vakhtangov’s wisdom captures a powerful truth about performance and authenticity. Eric Morris, an influential acting teacher, takes this principle further by emphasizing the importance of preparation through honesty. His approach suggests that the most genuine acting arises from a state of being where you’re fully in touch with your emotions at that moment, allowing you to express yourself freely, without pretense or overthinking. Imagine stepping onto a stage or in front of a camera and simply saying, "I feel weird." It’s raw, vulnerable, and completely real. In acting classes, this was often the practice—to express exactly what you felt, grounding your performance in truth rather than pre-scripted emotions. This alignment between your inner state and your outward expression brings life to a character, making them believable and relatable. When we strip away expectations and act from our authentic feelings, we become vessels for genuine connection. So, whether you’re an actor or just someone striving to live authentically, remember Vakhtangov’s advice: embrace how you feel, and let that guide your expression. #acting #actingtips #actingclass #actorlife #actingcoach #actingtraining #foryou #fyp # foryoupage #foryourpage #actingskills #ActingChallenge
