Just because Kagaya was a kind man and didn’t mean to, doesn’t mean that his methods weren’t akin to grooming/manipulation. Obviously people don’t talk abt Muzan’s grooming and manipulation because we don’t need to, he is the villian and everyone knows he’s a bad person. People talk abt Kagaya cause they know that just because Kagaya’s on the right side doesn’t mean that all his actions are excusable.

ppl acting like he was dragging kids left and right😭 mind you, mitsuri joined BECAUSE she wanted a man, obanai joined to deal with his own trauma with his family and to prevent what happened to him happening to others, SANEMI JOINED BC HE WAS HUNTING DEMONS INDEPENDENTLY 😭😭😭 kagaya's wife and two kids were so devoted to him that they refused to leave his side. like i fear that man treated most demon slayers like his own kids. nobody is forced to become a demon slayer, most of them joined on their own accord to deal with their trauma or to protect others 😭😭😭 just bc kagaya gives them a few encouraging words dont mean hes a groomer like what..

I dont think kagaya is a groomer in itself. I think the system grooms young kids into it. Is Kagaya technically a participant in the system, yes but he’s also apart of the system as way, he’s kinda brought up to do this thing and its been his job since he was born. This is an ongoing system that has entrapped his family for generations, so lets not act like he’s comparable to muzan. Muzan is a groomer and it’s painfully obvious, kagaya is stuck in a role he’s been placed in

I think Kagaya is just victim of the system like others, and actually doesn't control about how much slayers are devoted. Yes, he uses that devotion, but for good things (Like telling Sanemi and Obanai to stop abusing others). Also fandom forgets how traumatic his past was and that he became master at really young age - he wasn't trained for this. Let's not forget that most Hashiras didn't had good parents. They are devoted because it's their only father/parent (Obanai, Sanemi, Uzui) or he filled void of someone dear (Giyuu, Shinobu, Mitsuri, Muichiro, Gyomei). I don't think he wanted them to sacrifice for him. He refused to his house to be guarded by any hashira. Only thing that he did wrong was sending Amane to recruit Yui and Mui. They were 11 for lords sake...

Oh I love you. “Grooming isn’t strictly sexual what” the audacity to assume somebody doesn’t know what grooming is and then…misuse the term. The poor people who use this word to describe real-world situations seeing it be thrown around so casually and WRONGLY too. The one time the demon slayer fandom tries to actually analyse the complexity of characters and it’s to call Kagaya Ubuyashiki a groomer. So disappointing
