I don’t really agree with the ask to hangout, it makes it really easy to fall into the “roommate” faze and is really hard to get out of. I think if you live together you’ve both asked to hangout with each other all the time, speaking from my own experiences…

My bf and I have separate bedrooms. We sleep together a lot of the time, but I also get overstimulated and need my own space sometimes. I’m also a light sleeper and he gets up 2 hours before me for work - I cannot sacrifice my sleep😭. It has worked well so far.

nah that last one I'm definitely stealing cause I've seen that so much from other people's relationships and this rule completely fixes it ngl

My parents have been married for 30+ years for a good 10 years they slept in different bedrooms because my mom needed her space and good night sleeps. My dad was only able to sleep with the tv on. They very much love each other.

I agree with all of them except the second one for me and my partner, personally. That can definitely work for some though! We just both have ADHD and need to be nagged and reminded about tasks sometimes lol

The way #2 is worded sounds so ridiculous to me. What if your SO just wants you to dry because they want company and to yap?

seems alright except for the separate room stuff. reclassifying what is literally and metaphorically space between the two of you for the sake of very slightly easier wake up is not something id ever want. whatever works for you

People have no idea how important #1 is. Sleep is one of the most important things for your health period. There is no need to force it just as something to say you do together. Gf and I are both sensitive sleepers so I lay in bed with her until she falls asleep and then I get up and go to the other room, and she calls me if she needs me for something. Just have the conversation and see if it works for you!!!

I get #3 , some men consider living together equal to spending quality time together when its really not , u cant live together and count that as quality time and hanging out when no effort has been made to establish the time spent with each other intentionally instead of individually just together
