I feel like I’ve finally figured out my sense of style this year, and given that I’m not good at winter dressing at the best of times, I’m determined not to lose it just because the temperature has dropped 😂 I think I’ve always had a bit of a lack of confidence when it comes to dressing. Having big boobs from such a young age meant I was constantly told to cover up if I wanted to be taken seriously, then my twenties were probably about discovering that actually I had a choice, that I could show my body and feel sexy if I wanted to, followed by two pregnancies, breastfeeding, postpartum and that strange feeling of having to get to know your body all over again. Now, for the first time, I genuinely feel like I dress for ME. I love a bit of athleisure, I love tailoring, I love to feel sexy, I love anything that feels casual and cool but still put together, and most importantly I actually know what I feel good in. Summer dressing has always come so much more naturally to me though, so I went on @Next Official to find some transitional pieces that still feels like my style, without having to completely cover myself up the second the temperature drops 😂 which is quite the challenge given that I’m also permanently freezing. I also got some really cute pieces for the kids because honestly, Next Kids just keeps getting better and better. Also, sporty shorts + rugby tops might be my new personality.
