I met Grizzly today on my way out from a volunteer shift and my heart just broke for him. He was so nervous and trembling, and I felt so sorry for this little guy. He has a huge mass on his neck that needs medical attention beyond what the shelter is able to provide. He desperately needs a 501c3 rescue group willing to take him in, but just as importantly he needs a committed foster who will be there for him through whatever surgery or treatment he may need and until heโ€™s ready for adoption. Iโ€™m not sure if Grizzly was trembling simply because he was scared or if maybe heโ€™s gone his whole life without much human interaction. He came into the shelter as a stray so itโ€™s possible heโ€™s spent a long time wandering around without a home or anyone to care for him. Regardless of what his past looks like he seems like such a sweet little dog. Heโ€™s so small and adorable, and I just wish I could explain to him that there are people out there who would love to help him. I really hope we can find someone willing to give Grizzly the chance he deserves. โ€ขQuestions?
