@mothershipsg: Glico, we'll miss you when you go. 🏃‍♂️💔 Osaka's iconic Glico sign will be taken down on Nov. 30, with a new 7th-generation sign set to replace it by spring 2027, according to a Glico spokesperson. The new 7th-generation sign will feature a new design but retain the iconic running man pose. The spokesperson said the upgrade was necessary as the current sign's LED system had deteriorated, while replacement parts had become increasingly difficult to obtain. The current 6th-generation version, installed in 2014, was the first to feature LED technology. The running man pose dates back to Glico's first product, a glycogen-containing caramel candy, which was marketed as a source of energy. #mothershipabroad #pocky #glico #japan #osaka
