Perfect for thanksgiving or Christmas morning! The full recipe is down below ⬇️ try it out this holiday season and let me know what you think! 1 hour cinnamon roll minis Ingredients Dough: 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 packet instant rise yeast (2 1/2 teaspoons) 1 large egg room temp 1/4 cup warm water 1/2 cup warm milk 1/3 cup granulated sugar 2 tablespoons softened butter Filling: 6 tablespoons softened butter 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or paste Icing: 4 ounces cream cheese softened and room temp 4 tablespoons softened butter 1 - 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or paste 1-2 tablespoons whole milk (depending on desired consistency) Instructions: 1. Make the dough. In the bowl of a stand mixer or large mixing bowl, add the flour (start with 2 1/2 cups), salt, and yeast. Mix gently. In a separate bowl add the milk, water, sugar, and butter. Heat for about 45 seconds in the microwave until the butter is mostly melted and the temperature is about 120°f. Add the heated milk mixture to the bowl with the four, salt, and yeast. Add the egg. If using a stand mixer, mix on low with the paddle attachment for 2 minutes. Switch to the dough hook and knead for 2-3 minutes until smooth but tacky. (You can add extra flour a few tablespoons at a time if the dough is so sticky it won’t pull away from the bowl) 2. Turn out the dough onto a clean floured surface. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Heat your oven to 200°f. This is where the rolls will rise after they are filled and rolled. 3. Make the filling. Combine the softened butter, brown sugar, honey or maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon a bowl. Mix until combined then set aside. 4. Roll out the dough to a rectangle that is about 24x16 inches. Spread the filling evenly over the dough, reserving 2-3 tablespoons to spread on the bottom of your baking dish. Cut 24 strips using a pizza cutter or sharp knife (12 across 1 down the middle). Roll the strips to create a mini cinnamon roll. 5. Spread the reserved 2-3 tablespoons of filling in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Place the cinnamon rolls in the baking dish close together. Place in the oven that’s been heated to 200°. Turn the oven off once the rolls are in. Let them rise for 30 minutes. The heated oven speeds up the rising process. 6. Once the rolls have risen and look soft and plump, remove from the oven. Heat the oven to 375°f. Drizzle the cinnamon rolls with heavy cream. Bake at 375 for 15-18 minutes until lightly golden brown on top. 7. While the rolls are baking make the icing. Make sure all of the ingredients are room temp and softened. Add the butter and cream cheese to a mixing bowl. Mix by hand or with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix again until smooth. If it is too thick you can add 1-2 tablespoons of milk to thin it out. Let the cinnamon rolls cool for a few minutes before spreading with the icing. Enjoy while warm! #cinnamonroll #EasyRecipes #baking #homemade #baker
