When will you finally respect and acknowledge our history and heritage? Will you claim our history as your own, too? The history of Bagan under the reigns of King Anawrahta and King Kyansittha? The history of King Mindon and King Thibaw? You can learn from another culture. You can appreciate it. You can even be inspired by it. But never forget its origins. Never present another nation’s heritage as your own. Our culture is not without a history. Our heritage is not without an origin. These are the legacy of our ancestors, passed down through generations. This is our history. This is our heritage. This is our culture.
