@lavenderandmama: Something a little bit different from me this morning but it's nice to mix content up... and in a few years I did have to parent her and what a ride it's been 🤣. If your new here, or don't know this about me, I became a single mum to Lavender when she was just 10 weeks old. Still healing from a c section, suddenly doing it alone. A month or so later, I did the only thing I could think of doing, and flew to Istanbul to eat olives and get my hair done. We are now thriving and living our best lives. If you're a newly single mum, or in an abusive relationship thinking how can I do this myself, you absolutely can. It'll be hard, but eventually you'll thrive. I can't imagine what a nightmare it would have been for a child like Lavender, who is an absolute storm of joy and adventure and freedom, to be raised in a home with an abusive parent. It would have killed her spirit. You did the best possible thing for her and for yourself. 💙
