@chiphones.uk: She was THOUSANDS of meters in the air when she fell - and passed out mid-air 😳 Luckily the rope saved her. When she woke up, her hands were frozen and her partner was unconscious from lack of oxygen at 26,000 feet. To save them both, she had to CLIMB to the top of the balloon in -60°C, with ice covering everything. Her feet got tangled and she was left hanging upside down, dizzy and bleeding. She kicked the frozen gas valve open with her feet, then jammed her own SHOE inside to keep it open. The balloon started falling FAST. Ice started falling UPWARD - they were dropping like a rock. They threw out everything - instruments, clothes - nothing worked. So he cut the entire basket loose to save them. The balloon turned into a parachute and crashed through a forest. She was dragged for meters and knocked out. But they survived and made history - reaching the highest altitude ever and their data changed weather forecasting forever. #movierecap #truestory #theaeronauts #survival #chiphones
