I spilled a ton of yellow paint on the carpet of my room the summer before my sophomore year of college. I covered it with a rug. A year later my sister moved into my old room. She knew about the paint and kept the rug there on top of the carpet. So much time has passed that not only am I a licensed attorney but my little sister has graduated college and our dad STILL doesn't know about the yellow paint lol.

just tell them it happened while moving and ask them to fix it with you so you know how to do it for your new place too and learn new life skills! honestly the only right way to go about things i’ve had to help so many blowups between my brother n dad over stuff like this bc he waited too long to say anything 🤣🤣

I spilled nail polish remover on my carpet in high school like weeks after we moved in. I filled it in with matching eye shadow. My mom discovered it when she got the carpets professionally cleaned - blamed my little sister

It’s like 20$ and 1 hour of work to fix just paint match, get a square of drywall, cut the hole out, put the drywall in, spackle around, sand, paint, done

Just go to Home depot, get a keyhole saw and a sheet of drywall (or a half sheet MAKE SURE ITS THE RIGHT THICKNESS) and some drywall mud. Make a square cut stud to stud, screw the new drywall to it and then mud and repaint. should take 2 days with dry time but like 8 hours of actual doing stuff.

I did that to my bedroom wall with my head once, I was standing on my gaming chair and spinning around then the chair lost its balance and fell and I fell with the chair and put my head through the wall dad came up about five minutes later looked at me looked at the wall and walked away.
