Meet the H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian 🤖 Unitree presents it as a robot designed to serve and guard people, with a claimed maximum endurance of approximately 8 hours. What caught my attention is the idea of combining humanoid movement with a guardian role. Human-like motion can make a robot more natural to watch, but using it around people also brings questions about control, safety and how it responds to unexpected situations. Unitree has already built a name in legged robotics with its Go2 quadruped and its G1 and H2 humanoid platforms. The company continues to work on motion control, sensing and humanoid hardware. Its standard H2, for example, has 31 degrees of freedom and a maximum leg-joint torque of 360 N·m. For the H2-X, the claimed 8-hour endurance is the spec to watch. Real operating time will depend on the task and operating conditions. One thing I’d like to see is how it performs during long shifts around people, beyond a staged demonstration.
