@howyourhouseworks.au: Turning off lights won't fix your power bill 💡💸 Lights are only about 5 to 10% of your bill. The real fix is the box on your bill headed "Could you save money on another plan?" (in Victoria, the "best offer" message), where your retailer has to show what its cheapest plan would cost you. People on the same plan for over 3 years pay about $220 a year more than new customers, so if the box shows a cheaper plan, call your retailer and ask to be moved onto it.
