I want to pray but something is holding me. I am tired of living without Your voice. Help me." God does not despise a broken heart. Tears are prayers too. That honesty alone will start breaking the chain. *2. UNDERSTAND WHY YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE PRAYING* It's not that you don't have time. It's a war: Your flesh says "pray tomorrow." Your phone steals your morning. Guilt tells you "God won't hear you because you sinned yesterday." And busyness chokes your spirit. You must see it - prayerlessness is not a habit, it is a spirit that wants to keep you weak, confused, and defeated. Because a man who cannot pray cannot win. *3. REBUILD YOUR ALTAR WITH PAIN AND LOVE* Don't look for a perfect time. Do this: - *Find your Gethsemane:* A quiet corner in your room, same spot every day. Let that floor know your tears. - *Give God your first moment, not your leftover:* Before you touch your phone in the morning, before you talk to anyone, whisper "Father, thank You for waking me." The first 5 minutes of your day belongs to God. - *Pray with wounds open:* Don't use big grammar. If you are hurt, say "God I'm hurt." If you are tempted, say "Lord I'm falling." He is your Father, not your boss. *4. LET THE WORD PUSH YOU TO PRAY* When you can't find words, let the Bible pray for you. When you are dry, open Psalm 42: "As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs for you." Read it crying. When you are weak, open Matthew 26:41: "The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Lord, strengthen my willing spirit." Carry one scripture in your heart for a whole day and keep whispering it. *5. BIND THE SPIRIT WITH FASTING AND TONGUES* Some chains don't break with casual prayer. You need to wound your flesh. Take one day this week - no food from 6am to 6pm. Every time hunger hits you, turn it to groaning. That hunger is your flesh dying and your spirit rising. And if you speak in tongues, don't keep quiet. In your room, lift your voice. Even if it's 10 minutes, pray in the Holy Ghost until heaviness lifts and peace comes. *6. CRY FOR MERCY, NOT PERFORMANCE* You don't need to pray for 2 hours to be accepted. You need 10 minutes that is REAL. Start like this tomorrow morning - set alarm for 5:00 AM: - *2 mins:* Just worship. Sing "I love You Lord..." No request. - *3 mins:* Thank Him. For air, for life, for not leaving you even when you left Him. - *5 mins:* Pour your heart. Tell Him what is bothering you. Call names. Mention that your bae, your family, your future. Be specific. - *2 mins:* Sit in silence and listen. God speaks in stillness. Do it for 7 days without missing. On the 3rd day you will feel like stopping - that is the spirit fighting you. Don't stop. My brother, God is not angry with you. He is waiting. He misses your voice. The fact that you are asking "how do I break this" means the Holy Spirit is already pulling you back.
