@her_mind_speaks: This combination of someone who chases dopamine, has strong dismissive avoidance traits and intermittent reinforcement will bring wounds to the surface you never knew you had…..#anxiousattachment #avoidantattachment #intermittentreinforcement
You explained this perfectly. And I believe they are demons because how do they have the same playbook?

This is exactly what my ex was like. Before him I was a confident woman who knew my worth. During our relationship he made me question my intuition and my self worth. He was secretive around his phone, sought external validation from social media, had exes call and text him and then when this was having a profound affect on me he would blame me for being insecure, even though i know Im not. He would say "what's wrong with you if I think any of these women were a threat to you!"
He made me incredibly anxious and I have ended the relationship several times but been pulled back in by his intermittent reinforcement, when he comes back hot and heavy then pulls away once the threat of losing me disappears. I became so addidicted to the highs and lows of the relationship. I knew he was not my person and I no longer wanted to be with him but I found it so difficult to walk away from him. I have now blocked him everywhere and will never speak to him again. Ive had to treat him as though he has died to break free from this cycle. This has been ongoing for a year and it has completely drained me I didnt recognise the woman I became in this dynamic, it made me ill.

I blocked them for good, people like this literally make chronic illness flares worse. It’s really not a joke 🙃

I just see people for who they are, not their potential anymore. They either do the inner work that I do or I just leave them where they are. Most of them do not want to change, but it doesnt stop me. Cos I find my life is much more peaceful and enoyable without toxic people in it. Thank you for all your videos 🥰🥰🥰

Jen, I’m dealing with a guy who has made me anxious attached. Problem is… I work w/ him. I only work close to him on Thursdays now. I try to heal, then that day comes and he would reel me back in. I know what’s happening now. But, it’s like a loop now. I can’t get out of. I heal, Thursday comes, he says something cute, I get dopamine hit. What do I do about working with him & not having to do deal w/ this cycle. I’m going to bring earphones, pray, go to gym early and take cold shower. I’m getting stronger, but he never stops trying to come back. It’s horrible.

genuine question, can those people heal and change? let’s say they’re very willing to do a lot and are going to therapy, communicating more often openly and learning how to be transparent and vulnerable etc?
