I homebrewed my entire world using real world scientific processes like plate tectonics and complex weather systems, including topography and seasonal changes. The cultures and cities are all products of their regional stressors and strengths rooted in a 9000 year detailed history. All my custom flora and fauna have well described life-cycles and complete ecosystems.

i wrote an entire songbook of ballads and fight songs for my bard that i woukd sing while playing, the whole time i would write down what my charactors actions were so as to not interrupt the songs.

I initially gave one of my characters, a variant Aasimar bard, the name of a lead singer I really like but translated into Icelandic (because it sounded cool). Turns out another player in the group also created an Aasimar but with memory loss. I role played my character sitting by the fire side one night just randomly singing a lullaby to try and help the other recover his memory. We planned it all out and even went so far as to learn a real Icelandic lullaby, played it on the guitar and sang it during the session. I had a blast doing it...my mate compete forgot we were going to do it haha

I’m currently creating a kingdom, monarchy, system of government, and hereditary laws for my character’s backstory. Knowing full well that the kingdom government and laws have changed due to the coup that makes up my character’s backstory trauma. But at least my character will be truly outraged by the changes they made to the kingdom. 😂

my character in one campaign was "friendly exiled" from her compound by being given a blank journal and told to told to identify every single thing beyond the walls, and once shed seen it all she could come home (impossible task) so naturally I picked up a sketchbook and I illustrated each session on a page as told through the lens of an excitable but quite stupid halfling. theyre mostly quick sketches and nothing groundbreaking but the party gets a real kick out of them.

I did physically go and write out a story that would’ve been a bedtime story. My DND characters father would have told her. I also physically have a small notepad with a couple notes that are supposed to be Notes. My DND character took an entire cosplay of my DMD character that periodically update the original included a wooden sword that I carved myself and a wooden sword that one of my siblings helped carve because I ran out of time to do the second one additionally while in high school where I probably should’ve been doing actual schoolwork I did learn how to write in the Elfish alphabet for the previous previously mentioned in character notepad

I'm the designated journal keeper for the 3 different campaigns I'm in (in 1 we meet about once a month, the other ones a couple times a year) I write the session from my characters POV but put in explainer info in brackets and/or separate paragraphs for above the table stuff and dice rolls. I'm also creating a one shot where I've made magical gumballs (gumballs of healing etc). they work like various elixirs & potions, but the smallest possible versions: gumball of healing gives you exactly 1hp of healing, gumball of invisibility makes you invisible for exactly 1 round, etc. they are 1 gold each and take a bonus action to consume.
