@mothershipsg: Taiwan sausage now just a scan away 🤗 Travellers can know pay using DBS PayLah! at over 250,000 merchants in Taiwan, starting today (Oct. 21). This covers about two-thirds of the TWQR (Taiwan QR Code) merchant network, from night markets and local eateries to retailers at popular tourist destinations in Taiwan. PayLah! users can scan eligible Taiwan QR codes bearing the TWQR acceptance mark or label, before reviewing the amount in Taiwan dollars, the exchange rate, and final amount payable in Singapore dollars. Participating providers include iPass Money, Taiwan Pay, PXPay Plus and Easy wallet. Other providers like JKOPAY, PlusPay, and icash Pay will be coming onboard soon. Next year, DBS PayLah! users will be able to scan to pay at all participating merchants across the TWQR network. From Nov. 6, 2026 to Jan. 31, 2027, eligible customers can enjoy cashback capped at S$3 when they scan to pay in Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand or Indonesia, with no minimum spend required. Using PayLah is dumb. Anyone who pays by debit if there is credit available is dumb. You don’t get to earn points or cashback. Yet you still pay a currency conversion fee. Hence, don’t use it if you are smart.
