my ex was barely a dad when we were married. My two boys were in scouts. The second pinewood derby banquet, everyone asked who he was. They thought I was a widow. Two years in Boy Scouts, troop leaders and other parents thought he was dead. I left him when school was done for the year. As each child turned 18, they stopped seeing him. That's on him.
