@int.animalrescue: Gito was left to rot in a filthy cardboard box. Now look at him! In 2015, baby orangutan Gito was found barely clinging to life, severely malnourished, dehydrated and suffering from mange, a parasitic skin infection that had caused almost all his hair to fall out. He was so weak that rescuers initially feared he was dead. But look at him now!  Thanks to the dedicated care of our partners, YIARI, and the kindness of supporters like you, Gito has made an incredible recovery over the years. Now living at Forest School on Setrum Island, he's climbing trees, finding his own food, building nests and becoming more independent by the day. From a helpless baby in a cardboard box to a confident young orangutan preparing for life in the wild. What a transformation! And it's all thanks to people like you who gave him that second chance. Thank you! #orangutans #aww #babyorangutans #animals
